Happy March!! Now that February is over, Spring is officially in sight, 20 days to be exact, and I cannot wait to see where March will take me! But I am getting ahead of myself, I still need to recap February for Project 23. I hope everybody’s February was filled with lots of love, chocolates, flowers, and fun! For me, these are the 23 things my February revolved around.
1.) Wanting February to be over. I neeeeed Spring to happen asap!
2.) The return of The Walking Dead from its winter hiatus! I Can’t physically go without this show in my life for more than a few weeks, I go through withdrawals. You can’t give me that much intensity week after week and then expect me to cope when it is taken away!

3.) Obsessing over cutting my hair, people may not see the drastic change cutting bangs can have on your look. Still haven’t decided by the way….
4.) What to get my honey for Valentines Day. I seem to have so much trouble when it comes to gifts for him. I know him so well, yet every time I have to go shopping for this man I draw a blank! I think I managed okay in the end though.
5.) New Girl. I have never watched this show until this month and now I am crazy about it!! It is genuinely hilarious, and I am not usually interested in TV comedies or sitcoms but this one has me cracking up with every episode. Not to mention I have so many Nick and Jess feels after this happened…
I mean, after two seasons of chemistry and tension, I just about squealed out of my chair. New Girl is definitely worth checking out!
6.) Oscar buzz! I love the Oscars, and I am so happy that Jennifer Lawrence is finally getting the recognition she deserves, she is amazing.
7.) Getting through the month of Birthday’s! Since the very first weekend in February, I have celebrated a total of nine birthdays!! I have driven to faraway bars, bought shots I didn’t want, broke my diet several times, and spent entirely too much money I did not have. But good times aren’t always free…
8.) Giving up all the food at the restaurant that I work at for lent. This is turning out to be much harder than anticipated.
9.) The start of the new season of The Amazing Race. Victoria and I are destined to be on this show! But until we are, this season I’m rooting for Team Alabama. Because, ‘Murica.

10.) Picking the ten DIY/home beauty tips that V and I plan on testing out in March! I am so excited!
11.) Working on my anger, when I come face to face with my nemesis’ …the evil beast herself, and her princess man-slave.
12.) Frank Turner. I have seen him in concert a few times now, once when he opened for Social Distortion and again at Riot Fest last year, but lately I have been listening to him a little bit more closely and I feel like this song completely describes how I feel. The lyrics are incredible.
All your friends and peers and family solemnly tell you you will
Have to grow up be an adult yeah be bored and unfulfilled
Oh but no ones yet explained to me exactly what’s so great
About slaving 50 years away on something that you hate,
About meekly shuffling down the path of mediocrity
Well if that’s your road then take it but it’s not the road for me
No that’s not the road for me <3
13.) Christopher Dorner. The whole ordeal was unfortunate. My heart goes out to the families of those he killed. Although he will never see a trial, you can guarantee he is getting justice where he is.
14.) Finally watching the Evil Dead Trailer (which is red band by the way) and getting amped for the films’ release next month. As a horror movie buff, and a fan of the original 1981 classic. I can’t wait.

Even this picture creeps me out!
15.) Trying not to cry when I walk into Furry Babies. I still miss my Thunder bubby so much.
16.) Finding out the news that my newlywed cousin Alex and his beautiful new wife Lauren are expecting!!! Congratulations!
17.) The Superbowl. FOOTBALL!! Only 182 days until next season starts!
18.) ^Along with that ^ There were some interesting commercials that came with the Superbowl both good and bad. Was anyone else cringing during this Go Daddy ad?
Yep, and you thought you had forgotten about it. You’re welcome.
19.) My Daddy’s 51st Birthday! Hope we made getting a year older a little easier on you!
20.) 50% off Valentine’s Day Chocolates. On top of what my boyfriend gave me, I got myself several boxes of Hershey’s Pot of Gold hearts. Not to finish, just eat the best of and toss away. Mmmm hello pecan clusters.
21.) The endless dispute between me and my old gym. You will pay for what you have done! I will be victorious in the end.
22.) Trying not to delete my boss’ son off Facebook, he is such a jackass. I am not easily offended, but my god, this man needs to not follow Frank Turner’s advice, and needs to GROW UP!
23.) Did I mention how badly I just wanted February to end?
That about covers it. It was a pretty dismal month.
Until Next Time,
Katherine Ratoy
Loved Silver Linings Playbook! Jennifer Lawrence so deserved that Oscar.:)
I agree, she’s an incredible actress!!
